Thousands of AT&T customers in the United States suffer from a cellular outage.

On Thursday, hundreds of users reported issues with telecom services, including AT&T, across the United States due to a widespread cellular outage.Around 4:30 a.m. ET, more than 32,000 outages were recorded with AT&T’s service, according to data from outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

According to the website, impacted cities included San Francisco, Houston, and Chicago.Users of Verizon, T-Mobile, and UScellular experienced faults with their services, according to Downdetector.The firms did not immediately react to Reuters’ requests for information on the cause of the disruptions.According to a post on social media site X by the San Francisco Fire Department, the outage was affecting people’s ability to phone 911 for emergency services.
